It’s new catalogue day in the Stampin’ Up! world. Most papercrafters I know are eager to get their catalogues organized and their wish lists created. As soon as I got my box of catalogues, I grabbed one, and started getting it ready for the new year. So, what does that look like?
Everyone has different ways of organizing their catalogue. Some people get them coil bound for easier flipping, but my personal preference is to keep it intact, write my name across the front, and then flip through.
Usually, I start by going through and marking what I already have in my stash. Not that I have ever purchased a duplicate item (said no crafter ever). I then go through and mark the items that I would like to add to my stash.
I usually have a two colour post it system. One for the things I really want to have (or that I want to use for classes), and another for the items I would like to have, but I am not in a rush to get. The sets pictured are on pages 86 and 52 respectively.
By colour coding my catalogue, I know which items are higher up on my wish list (yes, demonstrators have that, too!) Something I need to remind myself is that this catalogue will be around for a full 12 months. There’s no rush to jump in and get everything all at once, as tempting as it might be.
I’ve created a catalogue tab download, which will help you easily find sections of the catalogue. There’s a blank one if you want to mark something extra special. they can be printed out on regular paper, or cardstock, and there’s room to write page numbers, if you wish. Simply cut out with a paper trimmer or scissors, and score or fold down the centre. Use your favourite adhesive, and you’re good to go.
No matter how you chose to organize your catalogue (or even if you leave it as is), there’s loads of inspiration and ideas inside. I can’t wait to share a new creative year with you!
