I’ve always been drawn to triangles and diamonds in crafting. Not sure if it’s the angles, or the challenge of getting things lined up properly. When I saw this card on Page 166 of the 2022-23 Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue, I immediately knew which stamp set I was going to use.
The catalogue card (top photo) was made using the Sending Smiles bundle. For my card, I decided to keep the same diamond shape, and use the Trees for Sale stamp set. There’s a coordinating die set, available for free during Sale-a-Bration (until August 31, 2022) with a $120 purchase before tax and shipping.
The video for this card very nearly didn’t happen. It was a comedy of errors from the beginning.
Everything was out on my desk, ready to go- hit record (or so I thought) for the card, and everything went along smoothly- until I went to review it and realized it didn’t record.
Deep breath, and went to gather supplies for round 2. Thankfully, I had one last piece of the patterned paper, and just enough Granny Apple Green cardstock to get it done.
Transferring the video over to my computer, somehow the 10ish minute video was now more than an hour long. Playing the video, I saw that somehow (no idea) the video started out normally, but switched to slow motion. My hands were nowhere near the screen, and nothing jiggled the camera. I think the craft room gremlins are getting bored with moving craft supplies and have upped their game!

Thankfully, a little bit of an edit fixed the problem, so I didn’t need to record another version.
The top card is the first attempt, and the bottom was round two Which one do you prefer?
