Scrappy thanks

Need a thank you card in a hurry? Stampin’ Up!’s Every Day Thanks stamp set has several images that can be used for quick and easy cards- whistle, pencil, flashing light, bandaid and stethoscope.

Jumping into the scrap bin, I pulled out a piece of Merry & Bright patterned paper (now retired), and cut it into 1/2″ strips for the pencil card, and two 3/4″ strips and a 1/2″ strip for the whistle card.

A little bit of colouring with Stampin’ Blends and a dash of Wink of Stella, and the cards came together in under 10 minutes each.

The resin star embellishments are now retired as well, but they are perfect to pick up the stars and colours in the card.

The pencil card was stamped in Memento black, and coloured with Lemon Lolly, So Saffron, and Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette (retired) and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment was stamped on Lemon Lolly, and punched with the 2 3/8″ circle.

The whistle card was done on Shaded Spruce. The 2 3/8″ circle punch was used with Shaded Spruce and Basic White. The Shaded Spruce circle was cut in half and placed behind the white. Coloured with grey blends, and a little bit of Stella added a little sparkle.
