Ink pads are a staple for any crafter. Here are some tips and tricks for ink pad storage and organization to keep your collection neat and tidy.

Grouping your supplies by colour family is one of the easiest ways to organize your crafting ink and pads. This makes it easy to find the color you need when you’re working on a project.
Stampin’ Up! offers ink pad storage that is stackable, and completely customizable to save space. Alternatively, you can use a drawer unit with dividers, small craft crates, or an old cassette holder also work to keep your ink pads neat and organized.

Label your ink pads. I like to use the stickers that come on the Stampin’ Up! ink pads- each side gets one sticker, so no matter which way I put them in my ink pad holder, I can quickly and easily see the colour. You could also use a label maker, or write on the ink pad with a permanent marker.

Stampin’ Up! ink pads are designed so they are upside-down when closed, which makes it easy to keep them juicy and ready to do when you need them. Keeping your pads in a cool, dry place will help them last longer. When they need to be reinked, it’s an easy process. Check out the video to see how.

When it comes to markers, a desktop carousel is a great option for easy access and organization. The Stampin’ Up! marker storage unit holds up to 38 markers and is designed to fit perfectly on a desk or work surface. Another option is to use a hanging storage system, such as a wall-mounted pegboard, to keep your markers within reach while also saving valuable desk space.
Remember to store your markers horizontally so that the ink disperses evenly, and one end doesn’t dry out.

For ink refills, consider storing them in a plastic container with dividers, or on a small shelf. This will prevent them from rolling around and getting lost in a drawer or on a shelf, such as a spice rack. This will keep them together, and easy to find.
