What is two-step stamping you ask? It is a way of making an image more dynamic by having different elements of the stamp separated or layered so that you get added dimension by using different inks, or layering the same ink colour.
It can look intimidating, but using Stampin’ Up!’s photopolymer stamps, it’s quite easy, as you can see where the image will be stamped.
The first card, Highland Heather was used for both impressions. The larger image was stamped off once, and then the second stamping was applied to the card mat. The highlight stamp was added with full-strength ink, and then the leaves were stamped. The ribbon is a simple knot, and attached to the card.
The second card was created by randomly stamping both Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow all over the card mat. The sentiment was then cut up and adhered with dimensionals.
You can use any colour you like, and add as many layers of stamping as you want, depending on the look you’re after.
The first time I saw the Art Gallery stamp set, I immediately saw a camouflage background, which makes this set perfect for masculine and feminine cards.
