What’s the fold- embossed joy fold

All month long, I am exploring embossing, and showing how you can incorporate different kinds of embossing in your cardmaking and papercrafting. Today, let’s take a look at how to emboss the front panel of your card for added interest and dimension.

Joy folds are one of my favourites- they really let the paper shine, and you’re only limited by your imagination.

For this card, I used Bee Mine DSP. The left panel is a 4″ x 2 1/4″ piece, and the inside of the card is 4″ x 5 1/4″.

The Sweet Sorbet cardbase is 4 1/4″ x 8″ scored at 4 1/4″, and the Lemon Lime Twist inset card is 8″ x 3″, scored at 4 1/4″, which gives a little more room on the inside to write. I grabbed a piece of Most Adored DSP (free during Sale-a-Bration until the end of February 2024) that was on my desk to create the focal point for the sentiment, which is stamped in Real Red on the Sweet Sorbet cardstock. They were adhered to the front with dimensionals. Watch the video to see how the card comes together:
