Easy wedge treat holder

We have all been in need of a quick gift at one point or another. This wedge box is so cute, and so fast- and easily made to any size you need.

The first time I made this type of box was a few years ago, when I wanted to do something as a table favour for a class- and, in typical Andrea fashion, decided I wanted to make it at the last moment. I was able to create several of these treat holders in just a few minutes. It’s really the perfect way to use up scraps, and to show off pretty paper. In fact, I might create a few more of these for an upcoming craft sale. When you have an over-abundance of papers, this can help you share the love with others, too. (And, let’s face it- papercrafters ALWAYS have lots of pretty papers!)

Now, when I say this is an EASY project, it truly is. You don’t even need a scoring tool. I would suggest a paper trimmer, so you can ensure that your cuts are straight, but you can measure and score with just a ruler and bone folder or stylus (in a pinch, a mechanical pencil with the lead retracted can work, too).

Follow the score lines in this diagram, and you’ll be set. The important thing to remember is you can use any size paper, as illustrated above, and in the video, as long as you’re using a rectangle.

The boxes above (left to right) were made using 12″ x 4″, 6″ x 2″, and 6″ x 4″ papers.
