Looking for ideas to use patterned paper?

Do you sit in your crafting space, staring at your stash of patterned paper, and wonder how on earth you’re going to used it all?

Most papercrafters have a fairly impressive stock of paper, but there is always more pretty to add the pile.

To help you overcome the overwhelm of the stash, this month, I am offering a Paperpalooza use your stash online class. This card fits into that quest perfectly. A video by US Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Patty Bennett inspired this card.

The choice of paper for this card was two-fold (did you see what I did there?) First was to bash a bit of my stash. Secondly, demonstrators around the world will be able to see the upcoming annual catalogue in the next couple of weeks, so I was additionally inspired to use up some paper that will likely be retiring (Stampin’ Up! doesn’t normally carry over patterned papers). The Reach for the Stars bundle hasn’t been used in a while, so it needed to come off the rack, too.

I used this bundle last September for a class, and the Pumpkin Pie cardstock, and green circle were pulled out of a leftover kit. I also used the Inked and Tiled punch for the sentiment, which fit the size and theme perfectly, and of course I needed a little bit of bling.

This card came together fairly easily, and gives a 3D pop without being too challenging.

Here’s what you’ll need (feel free to change up the paper, cardstock, stamps and ink to anything you have on hand!)
– Pumpkin Pie cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, and 3 3/4″ x 5″ plus scrap for punching
– 5 1/4″ x 12″ piece of patterned paper scored at 2″, 4″, 6″, and 8″
– die cut and/or punched shapes for sentiment
– stamp set, dies, punches, scissors, adhesive, embellishments, and ink
