Faux teabag fold with Iconic Celebrations DSP

I love a good fun fold just as much as the next cardmaker. But, sometimes, you want to have the wow of a fun fold without all the work. This is where the faux teabag fold comes in. It’s the same look as the traditional fold, but with slightly less precision required.

For this one, you’ll need two 3″ squares of patterned paper (Iconic Celebrations here), adhesive or dimensionals, and a stamp or ephemera pack. Refer to the images below for placement, and the video here to see it come together. This was a no-stamping card by using the Saying Something ephemera pack.

Cut the squares into quarters on the diagonal as shown in the image. It is a simple over under pattern (though, it did take a minute or two for the pattern to come together in my head).

I added a 2″ square scrap at the back of the card for added stability, and to help keep all the pieces in place. Adhesive-backed metallic gems add just the right amount of sparkle on the Pecan Pie background.
