If you’ve been around for a hot second, you’ll know that I am usually an out of the box crafter, and if an idea doesn’t turn out exactly as planned, I’ll pivot.
This idea was born when I was creating tutorials for my Stampin’ Blends class. I cannot recall the exact idea I had when I stumbled across this technique, but I have to say, I loved the result. I think I was going to blend rubbing alcohol on the paper to see what was going to happen, but loved the look.
This technique can be used with any Stampin’ Blends colour, and stamp. Simply stamp the image in Versamark repeatedly, and then colour with the Blends as desired. Darker colours make the resist appear more easily, but any colour can be used.
A mix of blues was used for this card. To make the stamped image appear stronger, ensure your stamp is good and inky, and press well into the cardstock. I love the subtle look of this technique. Don’t forget you can subscribe to my newsletter for more crafty goodness!
Iconic Imagery is a sweet set, perfect for the holidays. I love that you can mix and match the words to create the perfect sentiment. Check out the full video:
